Always preferred the sand troopers and snow troopers from the original trilogy because their armour looked like it had been lived in and used, the normal stormies with their bright white armour looked like they spent too much time on parade. Its why I liked the EP 3 clone armour because it had camo and unit markings that reflected shared battle history. Like this guy he looks like a mix of protection and some concessions to the environment and comfort. Particularly like the filter hose thingies to his helmet, got to keep out that pesky grit while sitting in his sniper nest.
I absolutly second your words, snow- and sandtroopers are my faves, too, and if you add some unit markings to their outfit it would be perfect. The EP III armor is the coolest of the standard trooper, colored markings, camo... just love this. This guy here was invented by Ron Hembling, a figure customizer from australia. I liked his turn on things and he was so kind to let me do an artwork based on his figure.
When I first saw Ep 3 I thought the clones helmets looked like this. Then I saw it on Dvd and was like "oh its still a T, just kinda droopy on the sides." I think the clones should have looked like this in ep 3. Or maybe they should have looked like this in ep 2 and already inherit the storm armor in ep 3?
